3/9/2024 0 Comments Gitrog monster dredge edhThe reasons are quite simple: with Gitrog drawing a card every time you dredge a land, you incrementally draw your deck, and with an Eldrazi Titan making sure you can go through your deck repeatedly, you are able to draw your whole deck by repeating the loop and eventually have any cards you want in the graveyard, hand, or library. Of course, you may wonder why you would want to do this after having just achieved a game-winning state if you play other specific combo-pieces. But what if we want to win the game against multiple opponents? Well, this is where it gets complicated.īy adding an Eldrazi Titan card to your deck, namely Emrakul, Kozilek, or Ulamog, you can shuffle your graveyard back into the deck whenever it hits the graveyard itself. With this done you can probably defeat an opponent with some sort of graveyard payoff. The payoff of this all is that you get your entire deck in your graveyard as well as a few random cards in hand from draws whenever you dredge a land. The way this combo works is that you have The Gitrog and the discard enabler on board, while you also have Dakmor in hand, and discarding Dakmor for free, triggering The Gitrog’s ability and replacing the draw with Dakmor’s dredge ability to return it to your hand so that it may be discarded again and dredge as many times as you want. In the case of EDH/Commander color restrictions, the main cards used for this slot would be Putrid Imp, Skirge Familiar, Noose Constrictor, Olivia’s Dragoon, Oblivion Crown, and Wild Mongrel. The first card is of course, The Gitrog itself, alongside Dakmor Salvage, and any card that lets you discard for free. The cards required for the combo to go off are not that bad and limited in number like any other good combo. The Gitrog Monster combo sticks out among the other well-known combos for its oddities. In specific, the infinite combo revolving around the Shadows Over Innistrad card, The Gitrog Monster. Hello everyone, today I will be going over one of my favorite parts of Magic The Gathering: infinite combos.
